Ecuadorian scientist and Assistant Professor at SFSU and USFQ (Ecuador-Galapagos). My research interests include island avian evolution, phylogenetics, biogeography, and adaptive radiations. Most of my work takes place on the Galapagos islands where I teach and work at the Galapagos Science Center. My focus is primarily on birds, but I also research microbiomes associated with soil and vertebrates using genomics and environmental DNA methods.

I work on the ecology and evolution of bird and mammals, primarily using molecular genetics and molecular ecology of populations and species. In the Galapagos, I and/or my students are working on Vermilion Flycatcher evolution, ecological evolution of Galapagos Yellow Warblers, phylogenetics of Lava Herons (and the widespread genus Butorides), and on Darwin's Finches.

I am a terrestrial plant ecologist, specialising in the fields of long-term ecology, biodiversity and conservation. My primary research focus is on the application of long-term ecological data (i.e. the analysis of fossil pollen, macrofossil plant remains, charcoal, and PalEnvDNA) to guide practical conservation and ecosystem restoration.

I focused my attention on the short-term deformations occurring at the western Galapagos calderas to investigate both the shallow magma transfer mechanisms during an eruption and the pre-eruptive signals.

From 1998 to 2003, he was at the Osborn Memorial Laboratory (Yale University). Since 2003 he is based at the Department of Biology, University Tor Vergata. He is member of the IUCN - Iguana Specialist Group. He is interested in molecular phylogeny and phylogeography, molecular evolution, population genetics, conservation genetics. Since 2003 he is head of an international and multidisciplinary project for the study of the evolution and conservation of land iguanas from the Galapagos Islands.

I integrate island-scale fieldwork with submarine geology to explore the dynamics of the Galápagos mantle plume. Using geochemistry and petrology, I have focused on the Northern Galápagos Volcanic Province, Floreana, Santa Cruz, Española, and San Cristóbal to understand the evolution of Galápagos volcanoes. We have a collaborative project in which undergraduate, future teachers build interdisciplinary STEM curricular materials through the lens of the Galápagos.

I am an evolutionary biologist broadly interested in sexual selection and speciation, with a background linking behavioral ecology, quantitative and population genetics, and computational biology. Our research group works primarily on insects, including the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster, the mosquito Aedes aegypti, and the Galapagos carpenter bee, Xylocopa darwini.

I study how magma is transported from Earth’s mantle to the surface at volcanoes and the interaction of mantle plumes with ocean ridges. I lead research expeditions to volcanoes, oceanic spreading centers, and magmatic hotspots. I collect and analyze dense geophysical data and use inverse modeling on high performance computers.

I am a PhD candidate at the university of Oregon interested in imaging magma pathways in the crust. I use earthquakes from around the globe and receivers around the Galápagos archipelago to use earthquake P- and S-wave arrivals to try to image the geometry and melt content of the plume feeding the volcanoes in the Galápagos.

I am a community ecologist and reef fish biologist with 15+ years of experience in Galapagos marine research.

My area of biology spans the past, present, and future of species: Their evolution, ecology, and conservation. Most of my research is in islands and island-like systems (mountains) in the tropics focused on how time and space interact to shape the diversity of life we have today. I have worked on Galapagos Finches since 2012, along with a wide variety of other systems including African frogs and small mammals and North American amphibians and fish.

I am a PhD student interested in genetic patterns of diversification on oceanic islands. I am currently studying the evolutionary genetics of the Galapagos carpenter bee, xylocopa darwini using whole genome sequence data.

I am an assistant Prof. at Penn State and specialize in geophysics, geodynamics, and volcanology. My primary research interests focus on both understanding the magmatic systems of Galapagos volcanoes as well as understanding the nature of Galapagos plume ridge interaction (in terms of mantle melt transport processes).

I have been an Associate Professor at the University of Idaho since January of 2013. My research interests focus around interactions between the mantle plumes, the lithosphere, and the hydrosphere through the use of geophysical measurements and geodynamic models. To date, my work in the Galapagos focuses on understanding the nature of plume-ridge interaction and the volcanic growth and subsequent subsidence of the archipelago and how that process relates to biological evolution and climate.

PhD candidate using water stable isotopes to study climate. Particularly interested in garúa and its role in Galápagos climate.

I am a geochemist and paleoceanographer who studies marine sediments from the eastern equatorial Pacific, including the area around the Galápagos. My research uses proxy records to characterize marine primary productivity, equatorial thermocline depth, atmospheric circulation, and ENSO dynamics over recent glacial cycles. Currently, I am a PhD student at Columbia University and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

I study the formation and maintenance of biodiversity, mainly on islands. My work combines phylogenetics/genomics with morphological, ecological, and biogeographical data to reveal the signature of evolution in biological organisms. My research group mostly works on islands and insular systems and although we like all organisms we have a strong preference for the beautiful world of land snails.

I received my degree in Evolutionary genetics from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. I am interested in how species form and why some succeed while others don't. The Galapagos organisms that I am working with are endemic and introduced broad-nosed weevils of the genus Galapaganus. With my students at Wellesley College we use genetics, genomics, behavior, and morphology to understand patterns of diversification and population variation to explore evolutionary and conservation questions

Elizabeth is a civil, water resources engineer who is interested in the intersection of water, climate change resiliency, and policy. As her master's thesis, Elizabeth is developing a high-resolution model of the circulation within the Galápagos Archipelago.

I am an igneous petrologist and geochemist, with an interest in understanding crustal magma processing in the Galapagos Archipelago. My research typically involves combining novel geochemical datasets with field observations, petrographic studies, thermodynamical/fluid mechanical models. I also regularly collaborate with geophysicists to integrate diverse datasets and gain a more complete understanding of sub-volcanic processes.

I am Full Professor and curator of the reptile collection at Museo de Zoología QCAZ, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. I am mostly interested in systematics and biogeography of Neotropical reptiles. My work in the Galapagos focuses on the origin and diversification of Galapagos endemic leaf-toed geckos using traditional and genomic approaches.

Scott White is a professor in the School of the Earth, Ocean & Environment at USC who studies the geology and tectonics of seafloor and coastlines. He has interests in collection and interpretation of sonar, lidar, hyperspectral, and geophysical data.

I am a Ph.D. candidate at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. I am studying cold-water coral habitat complexity and the biodiversity of associated communities. I develop 3D models from video collected using Remote Operated Vehicles to study habitat complexity at a centimetric resolution. My studies take place in the Galapagos Islands and the Charlie Gibbs Fracture Zone in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. I am interested in coral ecology and conservation
